Get to Know Me

Howdy and thanks for stopping by my little ol' blog! Here are a few random facts about me:

I don’t have any human children but I consider my dog Chip my child and I spoil him like he is one. I adopted him about three years ago and I can’t imagine my life without him. He makes me laugh when I need it and is the best snuggler!

Paddle boarding on Lady Bird Lake is my absolute most favorite thing to do in Austin. I love it because it’s obviously a blast with friends but it’s also something I look forward to doing on my own… just getting out there and relaxing and doing some thinking.

I love The Avengers and Batman and would happily spend an entire weekend glued to the couch watching Avengers and Batman movies.

I'm also slightly addicted to Friends, I may or may not watch 3 or 4 episodes every day. It never gets old, just funnier and funnier every time!

Someone posted this video on Facebook one day and I squealed with so much delight it was sort of embarrassing (even though no one was around). How great is this?!

I know I am a little biased to say this but I firmly believe Texas country/Red Dirt music is the BEST genre of music there is. My favorite band is The Turnpike Troubadours. If you've never listened to them please, please do yourself a favor and watch this video then go download every single one of their songs!

I mean, seriously, if your toe isn't tapping after that then I'm not sure you're human! ;)

I'm in the boots. :)

Besides Turnpike, I love Brandon Rhyder, Josh Abbott Band, Zane Williams, Wade Bowen and Jon Wolfe. If any of these singers are playing a show within a 50 mile radius of me (and I've been known to travel even farther than that) I'm probably there!

I'm from Texas. We kinda love our BBQ here in Texas. I was lucky enough to grow up in the town that has THE best BBQ in the world (again, might be a little biased, but whatever). If you're ever in the Hill Country area and like BBQ, stop by Cooper's. Your life will be forever changed.

This pretty much says it all.

Also, my favorite colors are purple and butter yellow, my favorite flower is a hydrangea and I buy cookbooks like I actually know how to and cook all the time (hahahahaha). Have a great day! :)

  1. Don't forget Pat Green! You know he is a Texas Country singer AND fellow Red Raider! I saw him several times in Lubbock. LOVE!
